Applying for a Library Card

Anyone living, working, or attending school in Ohio may obtain a free library card by applying at the McKinley Memorial Library.

At the time of application for a library card, please present a photo ID, such as an Ohio Driver's License or State of Ohio ID card. If your photo ID does not have your current address, a utility bill or piece of mail with a recent postmark showing your current address is required.

New cardholders will be limited to 4 items.

Behavior and Conduct Policy

The McKinley Memorial Library is committed to providing a consistently secure and supportive environment for use of its resources and services. To maintain an atmosphere appropriate for work, study and enjoyment for all Library patrons and staff, the Board of Trustees has established the following policy on behavior in the Library and on Library property. This policy will be courteously, but firmly, enforced by Library staff.

The McKinley Memorial Library is pleased to offer a wide range of materials for borrowing.

CLEVNET Materials - Loan Periods, renewals and fines follow the policies of the lending libraries.
Please refer to circulation receipts for due dates of CLEVNET materials.

Child Safety Policy

The Library welcomes children to use its facilities and services. However, responsibility for the behavior and well-being of children using the library rests with the parent/guardian/caregiver, not with the Library’s personnel. Library staff cannot supervise children in the Library.

Children ages 0 to 5 must be with a parent/guardian/caregiver and supervised at all times in all parts of the building.
