Saturday, July 1, through Saturday, July 29, at McKinley Memorial Library!
Calling artists of all ages! Create an artwork that’s directly or loosely related to this year’s Summer Reading theme: All Together Now.
- SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY at the library from July 1–18 for the chance to win a $30 gift card for Party Art Café & Studio in Niles!
- Please remember to download and fill out the Art Contest Entry Form. The PDF attachment is listed right after the Official Rules section on this page.
- Entries will be displayed in the library from July 21–28. During this time, members of the public are welcome to visit the library and vote for their favorite artwork.
Art Contest Official Rules:
- All entries must be directly or loosely related to the theme All Together Now.
- Entries with inappropriate material (e.g., nudity or graphic violence) will not be accepted.
- The contest is open to all ages, and there is no entrance fee.
- Only one entry per person, and the entry must be the entrant’s original work.
- Due to space constraints, each entry may be no bigger than 16 inches by 20 inches.
- Entries will be accepted at the library from July 1–18.
- Each entry must be submitted with a completed entry form (see reverse). If an entry is submitted without a completed form, it will not be accepted.
- Entries will be displayed in the library from July 21–28. During this time, members of the public are welcome to vote for their favorite artwork from each age category.
- On July 29, votes will be tallied. Within each age category, the artwork with the most votes will be declared the winner. Winners will be notified after July 29.
- Entrants must pick up their artwork by Saturday, August 5. Entries not picked up by this time may be discarded.
- Winners must pick up their prizes at the library. Prizes will not be delivered.
- Library employees, Library Board of Trustees, Friends of the Library Board of Trustees, and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.
